MARK EVANS KC

CONSULTANT BARRISTER

Called to the Bar in 1971, Mark Evans KC is an advocate with the broadest experience and range of expertise. He began his post-graduate career in industry gaining an accountancy qualification and experience in design and engineering all of which have been invaluable in helping to tackle a variety of technical and financial issues in a long and successful career. 

After a successful practice in family and civil litigation, personal injury and planning,  building and construction law he was made KC 1995 and figured nationally for both prosecution and defence in many of the very highest profile criminal cases while maintaining a busy civil practice. He is noted for his exceptional ability to deal with technical, scientific and expert evidence.

Ranked by Chambers and Partners as an “outstanding  junior” and  a “ leading Silk”, his clients have included leading figures in the media, politics, journalism and literature,  CEOs of leading industries and prominent landowners and farmers.  He has been the preferred advocate of many leading solicitors in dealing with their own  disputes. He has dealt with many cases of catastrophic injury, fraud, land and construction disputes, and planning.

He is a qualified and accredited mediator and arbitrator. He has extensive judicial experience sitting as a Recorder in the Crown and County Courts and in civil, chancery and commercial cases as a Deputy Judge in the Mercantile Court and as Chairman of child abuse enquiries.

In his younger days he competed at very high levels in both athletics and rugby.  He has had a long interest in and a collection of vintage and competition vehicles. He is a competent  pianist and has made many appearances as a solo baritone.
