Matthew joined Carlsons in 2023 as a solicitor in the Family team. He has experience working on a wide variety of cases arising from the breakdown of marriages and relationships, including financial matters, nuptial agreements and disputes relating to children.

Matthew regularly handles cases involving complex assets, company structures, and remuneration structures. Matthew works on cases with international elements, as well as domestic cases.

In cases involving children, Matthew’s experience includes work on leave to remove matters and cases where there are allegations of parental alienation and serious safeguarding concerns.

Matthew trained and worked in highly regarded family teams in the City of London before joining Carlsons. Matthew is an active member of YRes and Resolution, which are networks of family law professionals committed to promoting a constructive approach to resolving disputes.

When Matthew is not in the office, he enjoys spending time with his young family. Matthew is also a keen cyclist and runner, regularly running 10km from home to the office. In 2022, he represented Great Britain in the Age Group Work Duathlon Championships in Romania.
